Elementary Botany-I (Course Code usually BOT-102C or Major-101) is a 4-credit Core Course (Theory 4 + Practical 2) under NEP-2020 at Cluster University Jammu, focusing on plant cell, tissues, and basic anatomy. Unit-wise Syllabus & Marks Distribution: Unit I: Plant Cell & Cell Wall (15 marks) → Ultra-structure of plant cell; differences from animal cell; cell wall chemistry & growth; plastids (chloroplast, chromoplast, leucoplast); mitochondria, ER, Golgi, ribosomes, vacuoles, nucleus; ergastic substances (starch, aleurone, raphides, cystoliths).
