Cluster University Jammu 1st Semester Fundamentals of Environmental Sciences Previous Year Question Paper
The Previous Year Question Paper of “Fundamentals of Environmental Sciences” in 1st semester (AECC/EVS) at Cluster University Jammu is the most relevant, current-affairs-linked and surprisingly high-scoring paper that every student solves 10–15 times. This 3-hour, 70-mark paper (plus 30 marks internal/project) is 55% theory + 30% application + 15% J&K-specific. Section A has 10 compulsory short questions on definition & scope of environmental studies, multidisciplinary nature, ecosystem concept, biodiversity, pollution types, and sustainable development goals. Section B tests food chain/web, ecological pyramids, biogeochemical cycles, environmental laws, and disaster management. Section C carries three long questions — one compulsory 20-mark on “Structure & function of ecosystem with J&K example (Dachigam/Mansar lake)”, one on “Causes, effects & control of air/water/noise pollution”, and one on “Climate change impacts on J&K + India’s Net Zero 2070 target”. Every year 15–20 marks come directly from current events (COP, LiFE Mission, National Clean Air Programme, J&K glacier retreat). Students who solve the last 10 years’ papers and prepare J&K-specific notes score 94–100 easily. Toppers maintain a personal “J&K Environment Diary + 17 SDGs + Current Affairs File”. This question paper is therefore not just an exam — it is the direct ticket to JKSSB Environment Officer, FSSAI, Pollution Control Board, CSR roles in TCS/Infosys, and UPSC/JKPSC where environment carries 30–50 marks. Practising it repeatedly turns every student into a responsible eco-citizen from day one. (332 words)
