The Previous Year Question Paper of “Study of Progressive Poetry, Language & Grammar” in 1st semester BA Urdu at Cluster University Jammu is the most revolutionary, high-scoring and career-making paper that every Urdu student solves 20–30 times with passion. Study of Progressive Poetry, Language & Grammar (Course Code usually URDU-101C or Major/Minor-101) is a 6-credit Core Course under NEP-2020 at Cluster University Jammu, designed to create deep understanding of Taraqqi Pasand Shayri and Urdu Qawaid. Unit-wise Syllabus & Marks Distribution: Unit I: Taraqqi Pasand Tahreek aur uski Khususiyat (20 marks) → 1936 Progressive Writers’ Movement; Sajjad Zaheer’s manifesto; major themes – anti-imperialism, socialism, secularism, women’s rights, labour issues; impact on Urdu literature. Unit III: Urdu Grammar (Qawaid) (15 marks) → Ism (Ism Marfa-Nakra, Zameer, Sifat); Fail (Mazi, Hal, Mustaqbil, Amr-Nahi); Harf (Jar, Rabt); Wahid-Jama, Muzakkar-Muannas, Tazkeer-Tanees; Sentence correction; Idioms & Proverbs. Unit IV: Lughat aur Muhaawarat (10 marks) → Common Farsi-Arabic words used in Urdu; Muhawarat & Zarb-ul-Misal; Taraqqi Pasand Adab in J&K context.
