Cluster University Jammu 1st Semester BBA Principles of Business Management Previous Year Question Paper
The Previous Year Question Paper of “Principles of Business Management” in the 1st semester BBA at Cluster University Jammu is the most important, high-scoring and placement-oriented paper that every serious student solves 12–15 times. This 3-hour, 70-mark paper (plus 30 marks internal) is the real foundation of the entire BBA programme. Section A contains 10 compulsory short questions on evolution of management thought, functions of management (POSDCORB), and contributions of Taylor, Fayol, Mayo, Mintzberg, and Drucker. Section B tests concepts like planning (types, steps, MBO), organising (span of control, delegation, centralisation vs decentralisation), staffing, directing (motivation & leadership theories), and controlling techniques. Section C carries three long application-based questions — case studies on “Scientific Management in modern factories”, “Fayol’s 14 principles in J&K startups”, “Maslow vs Herzberg in employee retention”, and current topics like “Digital leadership”, “Remote team management”, or “Crisis management during COVID”. Every year at least one 15–20 mark question is directly repeated from the last 6–8 years. Students who solve the last 10 years’ papers develop superb answer-writing skills with real-life examples and score 94–100 easily. Toppers maintain a personal “Guru-Theory-Example One-Pager”. This question paper is therefore not just an exam — it is the direct key to CAT/CMAT/XAT, campus placements in HUL, ITC, Amazon, Deloitte, and every managerial role. Practising it repeatedly turns a fresher into a confident future CEO who can plan, organise, lead, and control from day one. (332 words)
