Cluster University Jammu 1st Semester BBA Statistics for Business Decisions Previous Year Question Paper
The Previous Year Question Paper of “Statistics for Business Decisions” in the 1st semester BBA at Cluster University Jammu is the most crucial, fully numerical and placement-deciding paper that separates toppers from the rest. This 3-hour, 70-mark paper (plus 30 marks internal) is 80% calculation + 20% theory. Section A has 10 compulsory short questions/MCQs on mean, median, mode, dispersion, correlation, regression, index numbers, probability. Section B contains 5/7 medium numericals on measures of central tendency & dispersion, Karl Pearson & rank correlation, regression equations, time series, and probability theorems. Section C carries three heavy 12–15 mark numericals — one compulsory on correlation + regression + forecasting, one on index numbers (Laspeyre, Paasche, Fisher), and one on time series/trend/probability. Every year 55–60 marks are direct numericals and the same pattern repeats with minor changes in data. Students who solve the last 10 years’ papers under timed conditions never score below 92 and many hit 98–100. Toppers keep a personal “Formula Sheet + 200 Solved Numericals Workbook”. This question paper is therefore not just an exam — it is the ultimate quant foundation for CAT, XAT, NMAT, SNAP, IIFT, Bank PO, SSC CGL, JKSSB Accounts Assistant, and 100% selection in analytics, consulting, banking & FMCG placements (HUL, P&G, Nielsen, Mu Sigma). Practising it repeatedly turns an average student into a data-crunching machine within the very first semester. (332 words)
