The Previous Year Question Paper of “Journalism-I” (ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰੀ-ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼) in 1st semester Punjabi (MIL/SEC/MDC) at Cluster University Jammu is the most practical, current-affairs-rich and placement-winning paper that every Punjabi student solves 20–30 times. Journalism-I (ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰੀ-ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼) (Course Code usually PUNJ-101 SEC or MIL/SEC-101) is a 4-credit Skill Enhancement Course under NEP-2020 at Cluster University Jammu, designed to give complete practical training in Punjabi journalism. Unit-wise Syllabus & Marks Distribution: Unit I: ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰੀ ਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਤੇ ਮਹੱਤਵ (18 marks) → ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਪਰਿà¨ਾਸ਼ਾ, ਲੋਕਤੰਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੌਥਾ ਥੰਮ੍ਹ; ਮੀਡੀਆ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ (ਛਪਾਈ, ਇਲੈਕਟ੍ਰਾਨਿਕ, ਡਿਜੀਟਲ); ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਯੋਗਤਾਵਾਂ; ਖਬਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਿਸਮਾਂ ਤੇ ਮੁੱਢਲੇ ਤੱਤ (5W1H); ਇਨਵਰਟਿਡ ਪਿਰਾਮਿਡ। Unit II: ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰੀ ਦਾ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ (20 marks) → ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਅਖਬਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਉਦà¨à¨µ ਤੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ; ਪ੍ਰੀਤਲੜੀ, ਅਕਾਲੀ ਲਹਿਰ, ਗ਼ਦਰ ਲਹਿਰ, ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਸੰਗਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰੀ ਦੀ à¨ੂਮਿਕਾ; ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਅਖਬਾਰ – ਅਜੀਤ, ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਟ੍ਰਿਬਿਊਨ, ਜਗਬਾਣੀ, ਰੋਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਸਪੋਕਸਮੈਨ, ਦੇਸ਼ ਸੇਵਕ; ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਸੰਪਾਦਕ – ਲਾਲਾ ਜਗਤ ਨਾਰਾਇਣ, ਸਾਧੂ ਸਿੰਘ ਹਮਦਰਦ, ਬਰਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਹਮਦਰਦ। Unit III: ਖਬਰ ਲਿਖਤ ਤੇ ਸੰਪਾਦਨ (18 marks) → ਹੈੱਡਲਾਈਨ, ਲੀਡ, ਬਾਡੀ; ਫੋਟੋ ਕੈਪਸ਼ਨ; ਪ੍ਰੈੱਸ ਰਿਲੀਜ਼ ਅਨੁਵਾਦ (ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਤੋਂ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ); ਖਬਰ ਸੋਧ, ਸੰਖੇਪਨ, ਸ਼ੁੱਧਤਾ; ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਟਾਈਪਿੰਗ ਤੇ ਯੂਨੀਕੋਡ। Unit IV: ਪ੍ਰੈਕਟੀਕਲ ਤੇ ਨਵਾਂ ਮੀਡੀਆ (14 marks) → ਡਿਜੀਟਲ ਜਰਨਲਿਜ਼ਮ, ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਜਰਨਲਿਜ਼ਮ; ਫੇਕ ਨਿਊਜ਼ ਤੇ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਨੈਤਿਕਤਾ; ਪੰਜਾਬ/ਜੰਮੂ-ਕਸ਼ਮੀਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਖਬਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਲੇਸ਼ਣ। Examination Scheme: • Theory: 70 marks (Section A: 10×1 = 10 compulsory; Section B: 5/7 × 6 = 30 short practical; Section C: 3/5 × 10 = 30 news writing/analysis) • Internal Assessment: 20 marks (tests + assignment + attendance) • Project/Practical: 10 marks (dummy newspaper + field reporting) Project Component (Compulsory): 1. 8-ਪੰਨਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਡੰਮੀ ਅਖਬਾਰ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਨਾ 2. ਕਿਸੇ ਲੋਕਲ ਖਬਰ ਦੀ ਰਿਪੋਰਟਿੰਗ ਤੇ ਫੋਟੋ 3. ਰੋਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਅਖਬਾਰ ਦੀ ਕਲਿੱਪਿੰਗ ਫਾਈਲ Recommended Books: 1. ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰੀ ਦਾ ਆਧਾਰ – ਪ੍ਰਿੰ. ਜਗਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਗਰੇਵਾਲ 2. ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰੀ ਦਾ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ – ਡਾ. ਗੁਰਦਿਆਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਗਾਖਲ 3. ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰੀ ਕਲਾ – ਡਾ. ਸੁਰਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ 4.
